7 Lessons in Leadership for Success

A leadership experience for educators, administrators, and mission-driven professionals

In this inspiring and practical keynote experience, Dr. Joshua P. Cole brings his leadership parable, Clearing Your Road, to life through storytelling, real-world examples, and actionable strategies.
Designed for teachers, administrators, and leaders across professions, this presentation explores seven transformative lessons that help individuals clear the internal and external obstacles standing between them and their highest potential.

Participants will reflect on and apply the 7 Leadership Lessons:
  1. Being Ready to Work – Cultivating preparation, discipline, and a growth mindset
  2. Building Relationships – Leading with connection, trust, and collaboration
  3. Working & Living with Integrity – Aligning values with actions
  4. Displaying a Humble Confidence – Balancing self-assurance with openness to learning
  5. Deciding to Be Bold – Leading courageously in moments of challenge and change
  6. Making Time for Yourself & Family – Protecting well-being to sustain leadership impact
  7. Planning Ahead – Leading strategically with clarity and intention

Through reflective exercises, audience engagement, and practical takeaways, leaders are invited to examine the “roadblocks” in their own professional and personal journeys — and leave with a clearer path forward.

This session challenges participants not just to succeed, but to lead with purpose, alignment, and sustainability.

Because leadership isn’t about rushing down the road — it’s about clearing it.
